Our Puppy & Mother Health Formula Key Ingredients
Milk Protien Isolate
Blend of casein and whey proteins that contains 90% crude protein (minimum) and approximately 3% fat. The casein component is more slowly digested than the whey, providing a slow and steady release of amino acids into the body. Milk protein isolate is a completely balanced protein that contains the branched-chain amino acids important for optimal muscle growth and activity. It also has been shown to increase bone density by promoting bone growth.
Colostrum
The initial immunity shield that transfers passive immunity from the mother to the young and that allows them to fend off pathogens in their external environment. Colostrum provides components that accelerate and support the development of the puppies own immune defenses (the innate immune system). Colostrum also supports the establishment of the proper mix of beneficial microbiota in the large intestine.
Collagen
The most abundant protein in the body, accounting for ~30% of its total protein. The primary building block of skin, muscle, bone, tendon, ligaments, other connective tissues, organs, blood vessels, and intestinal lining. The main role of collagen is to provide structure, strength, and support throughout the body.
Hyperimmunized egg
Contains two major categories of immune components: immunoglobulins that diminish pathogens, thus providing protection against gastrointestinal problems, and immunoregulatory factors that directly affect gastrointestinal surfaces and that circulate systemically, thus affecting every immune, metabolic, and neuroendocrine pathway in the body.
How to Use Our Puppy & Mother Health Formula
1. Goes with Any Meal, Dry, Raw or Wet
Sprinkle on kibble, raw or wet food. Add water to create a delicious gravy that dogs love!
2. All at Once or Split Between Meals
Dish out a full serving or break up their recommended scoop(s) throughout the day.
3. Consistency is Key, Create A Schedule
Like any health regimen, repetition is key. Stay consistent to maintain optimal results.
Questions & Answers
- We reccommend puppies begin Puppy Gold at 12 weeks to avoid any instance of diarrhea. This allows the puppy time to make the transistion to a solid food diet. If administering for the first time start with ½ recommended amount and work up to full amount over 7-10 days. Puppies should remain on Puppy Gold until 12 months of age.
- You can divide the total daily amount between the puppy's meals or an AM - PM meal schedule also works well. Again, begin slowly with ½ recommended amount.
- You can begin as soon as you have confirmed pregnancy. Mom too, benefits from Puppy Gold throughout the course of gestation and lactation.
- We do not recommend using other K9 Power formulas while using Puppy Gold on the developing puppy or mother while pregnant or nursing. This very comprehensive formula specifically designed for growing puppies, with the addition of a quality diet, will certainly be what your pup requires for optimal health. When the pup reaches 12 months of age our other formulas may be introduced. The best choice going forward would be our Total K9 of our Life Stage lineup.

We have used K9 Power supplements for years and have been very satisfied. Our last two GSD's transitioned from Total K9 to alternating between Joint Strong and Young at Heart. I've used this product since 2011 on every single litter/pup. I start my bitch at 30 days after confirmation of pregnancy. She stays on till the pups are weaned. Pups are weaned with this and on it till 6 months, all on their contract! I was shocked the price increased so much, but I also understand sourcing and concentrating. I made my owners keep them on it as did I. All pups and mothers need this!

Puppy Gold does a fantastic job on momma and puppies. Higher weaning weights and puppies are stocky and so healthy looking on it. It's great for the lactating mom with increased milk production and she rebounds faster after her pregnancy. I'll use it on every litter from now on.

Wow I totally swear by this stuff, I bought this for my little Yorkie puppy, she was the runt of the litter, & had to be hand fed, so I wanted to give her a little extra nutrition. She is full of energy, her coat is growing longer, she is only 14 weeks old & her little ear is trying to stand up already. I can really see the results! We also have a labradoodle & both dogs go crazy for it!
